Who Will Listen to The Woman Who Talks About Her Dreams?featured by Koko on December 23, 2023 Posted in Dreams We are on a bus, headed towards a cliff. Some see this, and others are preoccupied with shining things that pull mass attention and cause distraction from the impending precipice. This morning Bo, my two-year-old son, and I were woken up every hour, beginning at 12:19 a.m. I looked at the clock and saw 1:19 a.m., then 2:19 a.m., 3:19 a.m., 4:19 a.m., and finally 5:35 a.m. The wake-ups pierced the air and my antennas stood on end. We would eventually fall back asleep, and in between those sleepings, I dreamt of a War occurring on “American” dirt. Major cities were bombed, especially ones on the perimeters of the United States. People flocked away from the attacks as the turmoil moved inland. Families were displaced from their homes and began entering other houses in search of food, water, and refuge. Vehicles dependent on gasoline stopped running. Trucks that deliver goods also had no access to fuel. The grocery stores went empty, and all the external systems we depend on stopped working. Financial institutions crumbled, and money was lost. Anyone who was living off the grid was faring far better. The war didn’t last forever, but similar to how Covid swept through the world, some positive things came from it. Things that had been needing to change for a while indeed did. Many people reported how the quarantine gifted them the opportunity to reflect on their lives and make course corrections. As a result, they found themselves living a life of deeper meaning that was more aligned with their purpose and reason for being on the planet. Positive aspects that came from this “dream” war, were many! The way we do business for instance. The way we’re so hyper-focused on money was transformed, and we became as we once were, a trades-based society. People authentically valued what others had to contribute and reciprocate based on their callings and gifts. We also revised the way we do transportation and move around on the planet. If you look at the world from above in an airplane, humans resemble tiny little ants bustling about. All it takes is for the hose to be turned on, or a fire to be lit, to wipe us out in one fast sweep. From up high, the perspective is a lot more lighthearted, because we never truly die, everything isn’t as colossal as it might seem from down here. As we get closer to the earthly plane, it is much more dense and dramatic, and we experience more viscerally and vividly the impacts and consequences of our personal and collective choices. From a wider awareness, these are all changes that have been in process for quite some time. WE have been polluting the planet and burning up the atmosphere with all of our coal, oil, vanity, and waste. It is time for more innovative and resilient solutions that are ecological and soul-driven rather than ego-ridden. Following the war, we became awakened to the reality of the small percentage of freshwater on the planet. We also became attuned and directly aware of the green earth that we need for clean soil, to grow clean food. We stopped using plastic and began walking more. We came into closer contact with the part of ourselves that is made of nature, animal, spirit, awareness, heart, humility, and harmony. Tribe and community increased. As did kindness, compassion, and generosity. The way we regard and take care of one another also improved. We found common ground and saw more of how we are united rather than how we are separate. But all of this wasn’t possible without first going through a degree of upheaval, crumbling, and regeneration. The people who began preparing before the war, experienced less suffering because when we know something is coming, then we can start planning. The warning signs have been here for quite some time, and yet, we collectively continue to dismiss them. With each alerting signal, we get a taste of what is to come. And eventually, if we have been learning and adapting along the way, then when something larger happens, it doesn’t have to be quite as impactful. But if you have been disregarding and distracting yourself with other things, then it has to be harder and more challenging because the wake-up call needs to be that much stronger. I know it is near Christmas, and people probably don’t want to read this right now, but that is part of the point; if not now, when? To the universe, there is no discrimination about when information is shared. It’s not like, “Oh, it’s Christmas time, wait to share it with the people.” The timing around Christmas helps point to all our fixations with shiny material consumption. The timing also magnifies the importance of family. We are upon the New Year, a sign of new times. It is an act of love to prepare people. To give humanity the opportunity to wake up, AWAKEN, and get ready. The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep. You must ask for what you really want. Don’t go back to sleep. People are going back and forth across the door sill Where the two worlds touch. The door is round and open. Don’t go back to sleep. — Poem by 13th century Sufi Poet, Rumi SIGN UP FOR DELIGHT Receive sneak peeks, the latest book releases, and events! * indicates required Email Address *First Name: /* real people should not fill this in and expect good things – do not remove this or risk form bot signups */ We respect your privacy.
