The “I” in Beingness

The “I” in Beingnessfeatured

As I sat in stillness, in the dark of the morning, I focused all attention on sound: the sound-machine humming in the bedroom, the tinnitus in both ears.

After some deep, slow, relaxing breaths, a satisfying wave moved through me, a percolating fullness.

In my minds-eye, I saw the words: I write, speak, and create art.

Then all words were crossed out, with the exception of one: I

The “I” lit up in bright gold, grew and illuminated larger…

I understood that this was not to emphasize the “I” of the ego, but rather, the I in Beingness.

All things, such as writing, speaking, and art, are birthed through Beingness.

The I is the Eye. The one who watches. Watches me watching. The witness, source energy, the unified field, the vortex, the zone… So many names it is known by! 😄

Words I once read, then came trickling through:

You are a leaf on the wind — your life does not belong to you but to the stars and the tides and the music of nature. You are an artist and life is your easel. You are a poet and life is your poem. You are the structure, and you have to let life play through you without judging or controlling the music that emerges.
